Default Thank you BryanSprinkel

This is Tony, they guy you instructed in the Intermediate group. I just wanted to say thank you for helping me out on Sunday and letting me try the last 2 sessions by myself.

I think, if it wasnt for you, i wouldve wasted alot more tire and been harder on the car if it hadnt been for telling me how to setup for some of those turns in advance! I never really had any other problems besides that one belt getting thrown off on Day1, so all in all it went great. I could feel the brakes fading on my last session though.....

Remember that blue WRX? Yea, he kept flying by? Well, on my last session out i let him pass me and then i went on a concentration lap and i found that i could hang with him, just not get near him in turn #1. He could just flat out OUT BRAKE me... I figured that was a good comparison as to where i was vs. where i ended up.

Just once again, thank you for being patient with me.
Tony B.

You guys are to kind, the checks are in the mail.

Tony, you did great, you were really moving out there. You hadnt been on this track before that weekend, but picked up on a lot of things very quickly. Its no doubt in my mind you were one of the fastest in Int, yet you didnt mind pointing people by. You definatly had a good head on your shoulders, and I never felt unsafe in the car with you. Im glad you had a great time, and look forward to seeing you at the next few events. Thanks again for the kind words!

Keith, You did a great job as well, you had never seen the track, or any track for that matter. It took us a while to get warmed up, but after the "first time" gitters went away, you realy were doing quite well. If we could only get Dave(fast4-whatever ) to get that P-ce out of our way. Thanks again for the kind words!

Bryan

Bryan,
IT was good seeing you again and sorry for your unfortunate event. Maybe next time, you can ride in the "pce"...

Safe was a key factor in my book!

I saved the "2 tail slap oversteer comin down the roller coaster" for myself only.....im sure the flag man there was in awe!

Just a simple case of 145 down that straight, late brake, then TRAIL BRAKE, then too fast for the right hander, then lose talent.

I did manage to keep all 4 on track and SAVE the wipeout! Slapped it back in 3rd and off i went to catch 94Accord in the maroon accord at the end of the straights! He told me he saw me in his rear veiw, from there it looked "PIMP" according to him. LOL!

At full boost (18.5psi) it is putting 285HP to the wheels (appx 380 at the flywheel). After the first session I had to turn the boost down to 15psi because of problems I was having. I actually had engine management problems all weekend, but I learned how to manage the throttle to avoid the worst of it. Glad ya liked it

You know, the more I read through theses threads, the more dedicated I become to actually taking up track racing. Unfortunately, my biggest hurdle is that I work on Saturday's, every weekend of the month for Allstate Insurance. I have yet to figure out how to break out from it.

You can do what I did, get a different job. I'm off EVERY sunday and can take off any saturday i want to. I did get lucky, because i ended up w/ better pay, better benefits, and better hrs through the week.

But still I'm not satisfying a hobby I really care about. Unfortunately, I work 2nd shift on Monday's, Tuesday's, Friday's, and Saturday's. It's a call center, so the hours are pretty set. I have PTO days, but I have to spread them out throughout the year.

It seems 94Accord that changing jobs is my only alternative at this time. Unfortunately, I wonder if I would be able to find a better paying job than 14 an hour in this economy for someone with no college education whatsoever.
