I need to replace the balljoints on these upper control arms, but they are welded to the adjuster plate. I am thinking that if I find out what kind of control arm these are, then I can get an entire new adjustment plate with balljoint. Does anybody know what kind these are?

the joints don't seem to be too bad, the boots are just ripped to hell. can i just replace the boots? if so, is that a honda OEM part?

yea, they were on a 90 hatch SI, but it has larger (assuming integra) than stock civic OEM rotors/calipers up front. so, i guess it could be a DA suspension. it does have rear discs also which leads me to believe the entire setup is from an integra. also the inner fender well has been "modified" for the control arm to clear. i thought about grinding the welds off, but it would be easier to either replace the whole adjustment plate or just the balljoint boot if i can do so.

yah, Ive never herd of replacing a balljoint boot. hmmm I have no idea what those are from. or who makes them. I would guess if you get the messure ments of the adjuster plates, and e-mail the people who make those, the specs, and sure you can find one that fits.
but there was a reason why the adjuster plate was welded. it was sliping. It might not be even worth all the trouble?

i think you misunderstood, the balljoint is the only thing welded. it is welded between the top rim of the balljoint and the adjuster plate to hold the balljoint in.

no, not hard up for cash, just would rather spend the money on my motor and turbo build than control arms. i just don't want some crap aftermarket control arm snapping while i'm driving around. they don't seem to be too horrible though. nice heavy feel, nice welds between the tube and the flat plate. however the OEM piece is all one cast piece which seems to be stronger and less worries for me.
