Default o2 sensor questions regarding accord/ prelude o2 sensors

ok this is GOT to be my lat thread regarding this.

i was getting a code 43 after running seafoam so i figured it killed my o2 sensor.

i have a 95 obd1 h22a1 prelude (vtec) and i purchased a OEM brand new 1998-1999 (not sure what year) accord non vtec 2.3ltr o2 sensor.

they are both 4 wire o2's (one white, one green and 2 blacks)

but they had different plugs.

therefore i cut the plugs and rewired it using the stock prelude plug and the new o2 sensor.. I added bout 5 " in length, also.

I am still getting a code 43, shitty gasmilege , and horrible BOGGING...

what should i do!

First question, why are you using an Accord O2?

4 wire honda o2 are the same, you may have wired it wrong, also, my o2 wires came exposed and touched and it fried the o2 part of the ecu causing the o2 cel to always be on, that could have happened

its probably not th o2 sensor. it is probably the wiring to the o2 sensor or the plug itself. especially if you just reused the prelude connector. that might be your problem. sometimes the pins pullout.

Why don't you guys just buy the right o2 sensor? It would make sense that that would correct the problem? What the hell are we talking about?..........

BUY A DAMN O2 sensor!!!!!!!
Stop trying to short cut things........

Depends on how much you care about your car........I'd rather buy a $1300 dollar Hoe than a $15 one..................get the drift

^^ - By the way, thats the only thing i could think of off the top of my head ..........

You pay for quality and longetivity guess
