Spoon Calipers on EM1 4x100 searched and confused PLEASE HELP
I have done some searching on brake kits in general, I decided that a big brake kit really isn't as helpful bc they are heavier, I think that the spoon calipers should be more than enough with a good pad to stop, plus they are light and showy! I have found out that there are monoblock and twin block spoon calipers (though i do not know the difference) and I have heard of people putting them on 4 lug but i understand its meant for a 5 lug (which i dont understand) I would like to know, is it possible to put the spoon calipers on a 4x100 EM1, If so what do i need, and where can i purchase this stuff. Please lend some help i dont really understand

wtb:
1 EK9 RHD front clip (only if i can find the right price)
1 EK9 Spoon Cluster
2 Takata Harnesses (long)
2 Sets of Takata Gel Pads
2 Bride Gias Seats in Gradation
1 Mugen FG-360 Steering Wheel
1 Authentic Mugen B series Valve Cover
1 Set of Tein Hood dampers
1 Mugen Strut Tower Bar (front)
1 EK9 JDM factory Navigation system
1 Set CTR pedals

A big brake is going to help a lot more than any of that crap.

oh wait a minute... ok i do'nt know the difference bewteen the monoblock and twinblock...
i do know that one is meant just for the S2000 and the other was meant for the ITR and CTR.
for the Type R spoon calipers, they would of course fit the 5 lug Type R rotors.
given that:
if those calipers are MEANT to fit the STOCK Type R rotors... THEN here are my findings... I was planning on ITR calipers on my Canada 2000 Acura 1.6EL - essentially same brakes as your EM1
Brembo Blank Rotors
Front ITR – 25464
Overall Diameter: 282mm
Minimum Thickness: 21mm
Overall Height: 47.1mm
Front SRV – 25434
Overall Diameter: 282mm
Minimum Thickness: 21mm
Overall Height: 47.1mm
http://www.nolimitmotorsport.com/prod/BR25464
now all the "specs" look the same, the only difference would be the ITR Bolt Pattern of 5X114.3 and the SRV Bolt Pattern of 4X114.3
i was TOLD to get the SRV rotors and have a shop DRILL in a bolt pattern 4X100!!!
voila... if that works for you, great!
btw, based on my brake upgrade research, i'd suggest THIS as others have done the same for me:
ITR Master Cylinder
ITR Brake Booster
you already have the Porportioning Valve for your stock EM1 rear dics... so that should be fine.
i hope this helps!!!

I already have volk GT-P's in 4x100 and I LOVE them so i really dont want to change in that department. 5 lug would be cool but i'd rather not spend money on volks again
PS i like your Icon Thats the BOV ill be using, I'm hoping it works better than the one that comes with the full-race kit

yes sir - correct - IF you get the right caliper meant for Integra Type R's stock rotors. then i would make this assumption that it would work :D

Buy the DC2/EK9 Spoon Calipers with the 4H100 Spoon Rotors from jdmtheory.com. Problem solved. DO NOT DRILL the 4x114 rotors.

so what all would i need to purchase from your site to do this can you give me part numbers and prices?
If the washers are 3mm, wouldnt it just bolt up to a redrilled 4x100 Prelude rotor? I'm just guessing since I regular R calipers youy need to shave the bracket 3mm...and on the Spoon calipers, you need that washer to push the caliper out. Eliminating that washer (if 3mm) should let everything be straight bolt on with redrilled rotors.
