Default How much timing with real spoon P30 Ecu

I wanted to know with a real ECU spoon P30 (not a chip spoon on P28!!) it's necessary to put the advance at how much?? One had say to me that for a ECU spoon it was necessary to leave the advance at 16°, like stock.

Truth or forgery?

always, when you have a modded ECU, set your ignition timing exactly to stock, if not slightly retarded. aftermarket ECU programs as a rule ALWAYS advance the stock ignition timing maps to near the point where it will detonate. often, since the map was not designed for your exact setup, it will detonate in some places anyways. for this reason you may find yourself retarding the ignition a couple degrees for safety. advancing your ignition timing on a map with advanced ignition timing already will throw you into detonation all over the place, reducing engine life, raising coolant and exhaust temps, and losing power. 16 degrees BTDC on the nose, my friend. certainly no more, hopefully no less.

yes, put it at 16 degrees (BTDC) and leave it there. oh yeah, step 2: enjoy your ECU and hopefully the ECU itself doesn't overadvance the ignition timing. if it does switch back to stock and advance ignition timing manually or retard ignition 1 degree a day until it stops detonating.
