what pedals fit?
looking to take an auto shell to convert it to a manual, and i'm a first time honda owner, and i was curious if i can use a pedal box from another vehicle, say one is more readily accesible at a junkyard or such, and do i need shift rods specifically for the EF? of if there is a link to an auto-manual swapover, probably is, but like i said, i dont have any real honda knowledge or links or anything, so any help would be appreciated....

don't use integra pedals.
I used them for a while when I swapped an LS into my auto crx dx because I got them for free. granted, they're pretty close and they do bolt in, but they're nothing but headaches for a couple of reasons.

Elaborate on the "couple of reasons" for why they are headaches please.

ok, I took my own pics when I finally changed them out for EF pedals to show the differences, but my scanner won't work to post my good ones up. instead, I borrowed these pics from eBay so I'm sorry for the crappy quality.
Anyway, there are two big reasons why they're not interchangeable. First, you can kind of make out in this pic that the teg assembly is shaped differently in the upper left corner. the metal "frame" or "plate" if you will extends several inches in that direction, and there's a bit of metal tube (maybe an inch long or so) welded in there and the clutch cable is supposed to go through it.

compared to the EF assembly:

why it's there, I have no idea, but the problem is that it doesn't *quite* line up right with the the clutch cable hole in the firewall on an EF. The cable will go through it, but it's off enough that the cable itself rubs on the inside of that little tube, destroying a cable with a quickness. I went through 3 cables in the year or so I had the teg assembly. you could just cut that part off if you wanted, but it's just much easier to get the EF assembly and save yourself the hassle.
plus, cutting that thing off won't solve the other major problem, in which the shaft that the pedal rotates on is almost a good inch further from the firewall than the EF one. sorry you can't see it in these pics, but the end result is that you will either have to cut away some of the outer wall of the clutch cable to make the inside cable seem longer in relation to it, or you can modify the clutch cable bracket on top of the tranny so that the cable sits lower on that end. both fixes are unreliable and ultimately alot more trouble than they're worth.
