Default DPR race valves. V.S. Type R valves

alright i know this sounds like a no brainer. but. i just want some opinions from type R owners that have upgraded to DPR or any other ( worth noting ) valves. since i managed to bend most of mine ( please note. 1st gen PR3 valves springs will NOT hold 9500 RPMs ) i figured that this might be a good time to upgrade. I have no problems shelling out the cash. But i need a valve with good street qualities and the best flow possible. ferrea are also suppost to be good but have any of you seen there website. ha try finding specs on that site. any way please let me know.

Stock ITR intake and exhaust(which are same as other b16a/b18c) are the best
for 1.8L.

Since you mis-shifted, you really cannot blame the valvesprings.
If you revved to 9500 with your foot, then there is something else at fault there.

well..... i would have liked to blame the mugen chip, with the 10,000 rpm revlimit.
but i think we all know whos fault it was. not making excuses. just finding a solution.

thanks for the imput sgT, steve wasn't it. can you give me some more details.

what more details would there be?
Get ITR intake and exhaust valves. If you feel like spending lots of money then
get ferrea. But you probably wont see much gain, if any at all.

well..... the reason i ask is a couple years back sport comp published a book and did a review of DPR valves.
A turbo
B little turbo
C little better than stock NA
D bad *** NA
E costum

all with different flow charactics. the D and E bragged 5% and 6% more flow than stock. and it seems to me that while those are both small numbers. its an improvement worth noting. any racer worth a **** will tell you the head makes most of the power. Im not trying to argue. but you have corrected me before and you obviously know your ****. just looking for a little info

Well, you can start by expunging any "facts" you pulled from an import mag.

obviously.. but the prob is that in the published BOOK it wasnt what SC was saying it was what they were quoting from DPR. screw it. I'm going to call Dan's and ask them whats so special about their valves. I'll post any info they give me.
