I'm not going to say what I am going to do with it, but with all these ITRs getting jacked... $1.99 is very cheap insurance...

Wiring to the fuel pump is easy, just cut one of the wires to it and put a switch inline. I wouldn't do it at the main relay because that is sort of obvious, though.

However, fuel pump cut does not seem like that great of an idea. I mean, the car will start and run for a bit without the pump... so it will be obvious to the thieves that there is some sort of fuel pump cut... especially when they do not hear the pump prime when the car is turned to 'on'. But it is better than nothing

I have one, and my car will not start at all with the pump disconnected.

id get two switches.....one for fuel pump and one for ignition.....hide em in different places (one in a easy location for you...i.e. under the dash or something) and hide the other somewhere up under the intake manifold or something somewhere you can turn it off if you are leaving your car at a mall that is sketchy or going in for a movie or leaving the car at home for a week.....

thank god no one uses tow trucks or flatbeds to steal cars.

thief 1: (while stripping car in garage) "hey, look at this cool switch, whats it to?"

thief 2: "oh that, thats the fuel pump cut-off switch, DUH!!"

thief 1: "Its a nice switch, I think I am gonna use it for something on my civic"

every little step can at least help in some situations....are you saying its better to leave your car parked in the middle of a ghetto with the windows down, doors unlocked and no security since they might possibly steal it anyways?

I used to have a switch like that on my Old car. Connected to the Earth wire on the Distributor. Easy to hide too. That way, the car would just cranked & cranked and never start, due to no spark going across the points.
I don't know if this would to work on the ITR without blowing-up the EFI computer or something.?? .....anyone.????

Wasting my time eh?

Hmm, so security measures are all wasting my time? So, should I not lock my doors?

I guess that would be wasting my time...

A fuel pump switch along with a starter kill and alarm coupled with hood locks will make the car quite difficult to steal. Theives dont want to spend bunch of time trying to steal a car with its alarm going off. Thieves dont like hard work thats why they are theives. Thats my $.02 .

I thought the security was the Hondata?

Zap your ECU at night with no fuel and timing maps. Who's going to start your car with a custom harness and ECU.

Had that in my old car too. Friggen RX-7, you would start the motor over a few times, and kick the fuel pump switch to ON, and then it would start. Those RX-7 are notorious for flooding.
