Default body kit question

now im not a big fan of body kits, but the wings west kit for the crx has caught my eye

this is the only body kit besides the true mugen one and just straight up jdm body setup that i like what do you think?

I was either gonna get a lip, or do full bodykit and I would be going with that. Not that curvey crap that dont match a crx. Best crx kit in my opinion.

agree with touge if you have money for your rex imo it should go to the motor or something that will make it outperform the next guy just my 2 cents.

I like the look of my cars much more then the power it puts out and this is not to get girls or make mine look faster i just realy like the look of my car and every time i get into my car i feel like i have entered a whole new world and look at it and say, i did all this work and finnaly finnished my car *next will be some motor work for the hell of it*

i like the look of my cars aswell but i dont think body kits look as good as oem bumpers and skirts, its all a matter of opinion if you go to sites like ricecop.com there are some cars that imo are horendous but obviously somebody out there has a different idea of how a car should look.

I threw around the idea of that kit for a while intil i put one on my friends car, it looked great and i liked it a lot but it wasnt my style. What I actually ended up doing with mines was taking my factory side skirts off and had a friend use them as molds and creat the same exact thing except out of metal, he welded them on and we clean everything up and molded it so there were no lines. With the car fully painted and everything i couldnt be happier with it. There are no goofy plastic peices on the sides(the door hole were plated and shaved smooth) and the only thing i actually bought was a front lip. It is a wierd way to do it but it turned out ok and looks good. I will post pics when i can get my camera set up. But you cant throw out the stock crx body lines, there is somthing about them that made you get the car in the first place

goes to show everyone is OEM/JDM dick riders.

dude do what you want man. please for gods sake. no matter what you do your never gonna get sponsered or magazine recognition and the people on here arent part of your life.. so if you like the kit then get it.

my car looks like **** right now once done it will look better. i rather have the WW front with stock bumper lights and clear corners on my car right now. but since i have the jdm bumper lights and amber corners i might as well get the JDM password front. but if someone offered me 140shipped for my bumper lights and corners i would get rid of em.

this is the wingswest 6 piece kit MINUS the front bumper. oh yeh thats a wingswest whale tail spoiler.

i was going to put a C-West 2 front and the rest of the mugen look a like kit on but i have stayed oem for a while now i just too lazy to put the kit on. do what you want who cares what people think or say its your car... also have you seen the flush mount wing from ww i think thats hot

I agree with you having the WW front would be nice. But it wouldn't make sense just to get a new pair of bumper and head lights to go back to USDM style. I think the VIS front bumper compliments your car nicely. Besides Function is always greater then form.

if you have anything it would only be a stock bolt on ls if that. i did my research before opening my mouth. your car is prolly on jackstands awaiting the ls/vtec if not it has the d16/tranny still and your trying to sell that to raise money for vtec head, lsvtec build and misc parts.

next time you want to rag on someone about style expect to get hit back on a better subject of not having go power. your car doesnt have ***** yet. though i could help you on your mission and build. since b20 and ls/vtec have the same build. -Nelson

That pic you posted had no style imo so i said it was horendous, if i were to say that is gay ugly blah blah blah that means i am ragging on it, simply stating that its horendous is nothing more than stating my opinion. anyways though id like to meet up and destroy your car im running a t3/t4 turbo on 8 pounds of boost with a 100 shot of nitrous so you tell me when and ill be there hot shot.

you dont have to be a genious to know your situation and plans. its common sense. and well my opinion is your car is slow now and your car will blow later after a couple miracle runs.

oh yeh your t3.t4 at 8psi (been there done that @ 12psi) and 100 shot of n20 pfft(im too ***** for that). it'll blow eventually before you line up with me. and good luck with traction on streets and bfg or nitto drags and stock x-member.

you aint got nothing on my torque, top end and powerband. you maybe need 12-15psi and traction buddy. lose the bottle and run 15psi. better yet run 12psi and 50 shot to get faster spool up, more power and cooler intake temps if you have a good tuner.

he first said my car was horendous and i didnt flame on him yet i can respect thats his opinion. i just like function over form more i would love to do both. even though the kit adds 100lbs i actually gained 3mph on trap speed since i last ran without kit. go figure maybe its some function?
