CRX won't start sometimes or suddenly dies
I recently picked up 88 CRX Si with the stock engine.
I wouldn't start at all, so I replaced the cap, rotor, spark plugs, plug wires, and coil. Now it usually starts, but sometimes it won't start or suddenly dies.
When I try starting the car, I can hear the starter running, so I think it must be electrical.
What else could it be? Bad distributor?

i have the same problem ..i keep replacing the ingition coil...and works for a little while then samr problem...from what the mechanic told me after i said ill fix it myself...he said the main seals leak oil into the housing of the distrubutor..also my ignitor was bad.... so im just gonna try to fix the ignitor first then go from there.... and see what happens..he wanted to cahrge 583 to repalce that ..fuel filter...air and oil....i said forget it .... if that is hte case i migth as well save money and get a new motor.....

search into main relay. EF's are known for main relays going out
turn the key on and lisson for the fuel pump to come on. or the CEL to stay lit after 2 secs. if no fuel pump or >2sec CEL then it's the mainrelay
