there was a pic posted last week with a green ek with toyota echo green paint and it had hood struts-did a search and manually looked over 5 pages-anyone have pics and where to get these struts??

 

just about anywhere. try jhp. tein and vision make them. not sure about their compatibility with carbon bonnets though.

havnt had a problem with mine yet.

i could actually use some of those, propping the a cf hood up and getting a little gust of wind is some scary stuff.

you dont need a cf hood for those?

 

Nope in fact friend tried to use them on CF hood and it didnt work with his.

then it wasnt installed right , they mount to the stock bracket for the hood so there should be no reason why it wouldnt work.

Well the install is pretty easy. It was installed right but the fitment of the hood where the struts go and the fender wouldnt allow it to close.

 

ah ha...gotcha

 

i got the tein dampers on my 98 EK c/f hood, and have no clearance issues
