Will It Be Okay To Drive It For The Weekend?
My CEL came on & when I scanned it, it turns out that it's EGR. I already clear out the code. So far, I drove about 15 miles & the CEL didn't come back on.
This weekend, I have to visit a relative in upstate NY. About 4 hours driving & I have no choice but to take my car up there. Right now the CEL is off. I'm currently at work & couldn't be able to do any work on the car. I have to leave tomorrow morning early.
Will it be okay to drive my car for few days just in case the CEL light for EGR comes back on again? Will I do any damage to my engine?
Thanks a lot guys.

Thanks guys for all your fast replies. Do you think the CEL will come back on again though? Right now the CEL is off after I clear it out. I just drove about 15 miles after I clear it out.
Even though the code is clear, I still won't pass an inspection now right if I go get it?

its pretty easy to clean up whats causing your egr code, itl take you maybe 1 hour to 2 hours max... theres a link around here on how to do it... ill see if i can find it... wore comes to worse you could always wake up a few hours early and take care of it... that way it wont be buggin you...
but you'll be find either way...
