ive never had this problem with a honda before but i whenever i give the car a little juice the cable sticks and it just bounces off the rev limiter. is this a easy fix. i dont feel like getting out the car and un hooking it every day.

 

weird, its getting stuck somewhere...
have you looked under the hood to see if maybe the throttle return spring is there and in good shape?

 

well the problem just occured tonight so i couldnt see anything but ill check that out. thanks

there's this small screw (not the idle screw) on the throttle body that could be adjusted to stop the throttle body from closing all the way too much...adjust it a tiny bit. also gunks on the throttle body makes it stick too. my throttle plate sticks right now also...happened last week.

it started happening right after i took it up one time last week. but now when i daily drive my car and on a stop, i get this sticky feeling on the pedal and i have to push it down further to get out of the stickyness and go.

 

it will go away. i solve the problem by cleaning out the sticky black stuff. open the tb and u will lots of dirty black sticky shiet

 

for people with sticking TB plates, if the TB plate still sticks after you clean the gunk, there is a screw on the outside of the throttle body right undernearth the cable roller. It's very tiny. You can adjust the screw to hold the the throttle plate open. you need a hex key to adjust it, and a little nut to hold the hex bolt stay put.

as far as cable sticking, you gotta find out where it sticks... you might need a new cable

 

i decided to take off my intake because it kept happening and the little silver peice in the center of cheep filters got sucked into my throttle body and kept getting lodged. that was the problem. i hate pepboys products
