2005 RL brake upgrade possible for a ITR?
well i just looked at my nieghbors 2005 RL and the brakes are pretty big. they are a 4pot aluminum caliper and they seem like a pretty easy brake upgrade with a custom adapter. the way they mount is just like the spoon MONOBLOCK calipers. perhaps you can use the spoon adapters. anyhow, just another option to look into.
crappy pic but the caliper looks really really nice. the acura logo is engraved in the caliper.
LEN, ANY HOOK UP DEALS?

these are a completely different calipers then the ones that migs is working on. these arent that bad in price bout 350 a piece.

presonally i love 17in wheels
im assuming the RL calipers would be lighter since they are aluminum. not positive what the TL calipers are made of.

Nope, won't work. The new RL's borrow's motorcycle technology and has their calipers "Radial Mounted." So you would have to custom fab a mount or use a modified knuckle.

Fool, you even said the TL calipers wont mount up to the DC2 knuckles. The holes are in the same position!!

i know this would not be a direct bolt-on, but fabbing up a bracket to fit these seems pretty easy. if you look... its the exact some way that the SPOON MONOBLOCK calipers mount to the knuckles.

spoon monoblocks and adapter

who wants to try? im sure i could fab up a bracket but too bad i dont have money to buy a caliper for bracket R&D. Len wanna donate me one

This still isnt gonna help the fact that you will have to run a 17in wheel.
