who here dirt bikes?
Hey he made it!
I rode freestyle motocross for 7 years and my last dirt bike was a 99 CR250 (completely dialed in for FMX) and I'm starting to miss it agian. I think it's time I head out and pick up a new bike.

They've been saying that since 1999.

No I mean there have been rumors about that since 1999. "2000 will be that last year...2001 will be..." You get the point.

i havent rode a dirtbike since about 2001 or so. and i want to buy one again so bad. as soon as i graduate college this year and get my first real job my first toy will be another bike; hopefully a 250cr.
you guys will probably hate me but i ride a 05 yz250f. my dad has a 05 crf250r though, ive ridden it and honestly i like the yamaha better. more power, stiffer suspension, and a whole lot more power.
i used to ride a crf230, it was a good bike, but i needed something that was lighter, faster and blue. lol.

I didn't know you rode FMX. That **** scares me.
I've been riding for years. I have an 02 RM125 that is actually all torn apart right now due to the rod bearing going out this past Sunday. New top end and rod kit are on the way and it should be back up and going this weekend.

The funnest dirtbike I ever had was a 197? Honda MiniTrail (49cc). That little thing was a blast! I think I remember putting oil in it once, the kickstart was stripped so I had to coast-start it every time (bitch in cold), the brakes were well....as hard as I could hold my feet on the ground, lol. We lived on 110 acres so I tore all through the woods on that little beauty.
It was only rated for I think 150lbs, but it pulled my (at the time) 280 pound step-dad with no problem.
ah...the mini
*tear*

Ive been riding on and off for about 2 yrs now. Just sold my 04 Yz250 about 2 months ago however. I had a bad knee injury last year and Im taking up cycling to try and get myself 100% before I get back on a bike
Yup mainly trails but a 2000 DRZ400E. Right now is in the shop as I'm having valve issues and turing into more problems. I'm hoping when I'm done it will be like new and will be coming out with a big bore kit. Right now it has quite a few mods but still has room for more. Basically the whole engine is being rebuilt. I also have a LT250R atv that is undergoing the same treatement. Then a little XR100 for a play bike but it rarely gets ridden.

i believe all 2 stroke sport atv's are on thair last production year. they are pushed out by the mfg and even the national level racing. now the enviromentalist are attacking sound requirements on the 4 stroke replacements. it will never end.
