NEED HELP I THINK ITS THE RIGHT AXLE!
yep bad CV joint.. or might be a bad wheel bearing..? but that would be more like a gringing or huming noise.. not clicking... try to make a hard or sharp left turn and see if you hear it still.. if its the CV joint you will if its the bearing you wont... you will hear the CV joint because no matter what way its turned it will click, however whe wheel bearing will have pres let off of it when truning left and the noise should go away....

CV Joint, it can be broken and only click while turning one way. Replace the axle or have it professionally repaired (if its a custom axle).

when your making a turn the click noise probably gets louder with the sharper of a turn you make. then when you straighten it out it almost goes away. im 80% sure its the axle. plus you can go to like auto zone and get one w/ lifetime warranty, also if it dont work they will give you your money back just dont fudge up the one you bought in case it needs to go back.

CV joints will turn both directions... if you make a left hand turn the right outer joint will go "forward" however it is still rotating so the joint is still in motion , just like you could bend a straw and rotate it. when he would turn right the cv joint would go "backwards" therefor still bent and still rotating and still doign the exact same thing it was doing when it was turned left. just like if you bent the straw left and kept rotating it, its still doing the same thing it was when bent the other way. A CV joint will whine, hum, click, and vibrate when turned either direction. this is my logic.. now maybe im just missing somehting so please someone provide proof for why they think it is the CV joint/axle, when it only clicks when going one direction? Maybe i am wrong.

happened to me once, my roomate 3 times. In fact, i've never seen an axle that clicks both directions. I can't tell you why (probably has something to do with the fact that the half shaft doesn't perfectly line up with the hubs so the axle is always at an angle making the cv joint have to turn farther one direction than the other), and I see the logic in your thought process, but in my experiences it doesn't work that way.

Happened once wtih my D series and then once when i swapped. Both times the axles were 'slightly' used...
