1998 Itr 16,300 miles,original owner A/C JRSC, header, catback,racing hart cpo35 16/7 wheels, (White) REo 10 215?45? 16s. This car has never been winter driven,smoked in, Only been driven in the rain twice ( Got caught,wasnt planned) All the modes were professionally installed.Has all the goddies btc,map mod, jr intake... many other neat stuff that can be listed later. It is #1035.Car has clear title i bought it new in august of 98.....Just looking for feed back on sale price...

Plus he claims he's the first owner, musta got the number wrong, or sumthin'.

 

I would say 15-16k. The fact that it has a JRSC makes my "offer" lower, despite the mileage. You made no mention of a hondata, or other tunable form of engine managment. This leads me to believe that the JRSC setup is in its original kit form, which is known to have detonation issues. Right now I lean towards the 15k, but if you have all the OEM parts still and inculde it with the car, I would go for 16k.

I am sure you could find someone to buy it for more. The above is just my personal opinion.

Getting that much may be difficult. There has been alot of turnover as of late.

You guys are failing to realize that when a car is (more than) five years old, most banks won't give a loan on it. If they will, it is at an astronomical interest rate. So, you guys are looking for someone who has 10-20 grand cash to buy your car. The most a bank will loan will probably be 8-10 Gs. It sucks, but it is the way that it is.

And for those getting ready to flame for "but it's a type-r and yada, yada, yada," it doesn't matter how great of a car it is if the buyer can't get the money.

Regardless of car make/model you can get financed easily. I got mine for 4.9% so it's really not all that hard at all.

Banks usually require a shorter loan duration on old cars, thus less risk.

Look at your sig... Your car is 4 years old. Not 5+ years old. Call a bank, ask them the rate for a 98 Type R and the maximum they will finance - you'll be surprised. A bank is not going to loan more than their assessed value (NADA-KBB).

While it didn't relate to you, it does relate to the other guys in this post. A '98 and an '00 that is going to be put in storage until next spring (which will be six model years old at that point) will both be affected by this.

I paid for my ITR with cash. And no, I'm not rich at all, I just know how to save my money.
