The best theft deterrent is subtlety.

Given your current situation, you can:

a) Buy a DD and lock up the R at home.
b) Accept the fact that it'll get stolen and make sure you've got a good insurance company and full coverage, plus rental reimbursement.

Stay away, stay very far away from them or just check out the WV pic thread and that will explain a lot.

it is impossible to prevent your car from being stolen, if the thiefs want it bad enough...

if they want it enough, they WILL get it

just get an alarm, dont be dumb about where you leave it and such and be hopeful

I just ordered the powerlock. http://www.powerlock.com In my opinion it is the best so far and I will have it working with a viper alarm and the club that I already have right now.

I would call them up and ask more information from the guys there, but it is a product with patented technology that claims it can't be bypassed and hotwired.

Have you ever considered encasing your ITR in several cubic yards of concrete/cement?

I would love to see a photoshop of something like that!

i have a gsr and i use alarm, club, and autolock. its mainly for show. if a theif want it they'll get it. but the people that steal integras and civics are usually teens who want the parts and they'll just skip your car if its too much of a hassle. trust me almost all my friends steal cars and they only do cars with no security(alarm doesnt count it can be cut in 3 seconds)

nothing can stop towing except either 1. taking your R apart piece by piece every night and bringing it inside or 2. Cementing a long big *** chain in the ground and wrap that bitch ALL around the R.

Just a dumb question from a guy who owns an ep3 that couldn't be given away with the new Si coming. Do Type R's get stolen in all cities, states and provinces across North America? I thought this was more localized in like LA and NYC where auto theft is already an issue, but it sounds like on here Type R's get jacked everywhere. Or are some of you guys paranoid?
