Default break in period? timing belt and camshaft

so i looked at the boxes on the timing belt and camshaft that i bought but nothing was mentioned about this... Im getting my timingbelt installed this weekend and then next week proble Wed. the camshaft.. The reason im asking about a break in period is because on Sept. 14th I'm going with a group of people to the track and the car most likely will be pushed hard...
Thanks,
Kevin

not so much for the belt, but to be safe with the cam id wait...
what kinda cam is it?

and the cam is going to change your gas mileage.
when you put in a bigger cam it allows for more fuel and more air to get in. thats how you get the hp gains. more air + fuel...

500 miles is what i would do for the break in. as for the gas mileage i dont think it will be a drastic gas nileage gain or loss if you get it tuned. after part throttle is tuned you gas mileage should be around the same. but it also depends on you, tha cam will give you some more power and if you start racing around full throttle everywhereyou will get really shitty gas mileage.

You have some time! Start making some laps around the neighborhood! I average 100 miles a week with light driving.
