Default Riders with glasses

... how is it? I wear glasses all the time (I'm literally blind without them) [noobie here]
Does it bother you guys with the helmet on? Does it tend to be difficult to have to deal with? I haven't yet tried contacts (preferred not to, unless... )

I ride with sunglasses on all the time so I doubt you'd have any trouble.

at first it is a little weird because the helmet can pinch your glasses and skew your vision. after a while you will get used to it and all is well.

I ride with a pair of Oakleys on nearly 100% of the time I'm riding, besides when it starts getting dark out. :D I dont even notice they are there after a few minutes.

I wear contacts. I'd hate to do down face first with glasses on. Ouch.

I don't but my father does. I don't have glasses, but ride with my polarized Ray-bans on everytime its sunny.

The reason I mention my father is that he tried several different helmets on specifically to see which ones made it easier to wear glasses and which ones didn't. It may be something to concider when you try on helmets.

His opinion was that most of the Arai helmets that fit him well, also had the best clearance for glasses frames on the sides of the helmets.

I had purchased an Arai Astral X helmet b/c of fitment, and it does very well with the sun-glasses I use, although my experience with other brands and glasses is limited.

Hope you get a comfortable ride one way or the other, I think thats very important. Distractions can be deadly.

Yeah, my helmet is very comfy with glasses. The padding squishes down for the glasses arms pretty quickly anyways. I have a Shoei TZ-R and its ub3r comfy.

I wear glasses 100% of the time because I, too, am blind.

I just take them off, put my helmet on, then put my glasses on through the visor hole and vua-la. (sp?)

yup

Biggest problem I had was my glasses fogging up, especially at low speeds. Had to flip up the visor while in town.

Got LASIK a few months ago, problems of the past now!

Well yeah, the glasses go right on the way you ride.

It depends, glasses are actually easier for me. My helmet blows air on my face, causes my contacts to dry up.

I'll keep this two brands in mind when I try on helmets. My luck with them so far aren't that good.

Didn't really have a choice in the bike color, it only comes in one color. the helmet is noticable but the leathers I am getting are black...so yes I will be a bit hard to see, but I do not ride at night.
