GSR 1998 Stock on 1/4
Hi all,
I have a integra GSR 1998 Bone Stock. Yesterday I went to napierville in Quebec and my time was 15.3. I want to know if my car can do better or what is the average time of a stock GSR?
Thanks Frank

my friends type R stock ran a 15.0...so imagine your right about where you should be...although the type R should proboly be faster then what it is...
My brother inlaws 96 gsr went 14.6 @ 96 with AEM CAI and apexi N1 exhaust also a gutted cat.
He claims his car went 14.9 stock but i dont know about all that. Although he never lies about his time and im always there working on his car or watching him at the track so it must be legit.

15.3 is pretty average for a stock GS-R. Shoot, my car was doing that untuned with quite a few mods. I've heard of a few GS-R's doing 14's stock or with only a few mods, but it's rare, and usually the motors are freaks and the conditions are just right for it to happen.

My gsr ran a 14.71@92.44mph with an intake and muffler (no cat back, just a muffler) car is full weight and the 60 time was 2.27
this was the previous owners time, i ran it back when i first got the car and hit a 15.0@90.7mph, but it was also 100degrees out, it was about 55-60degrees when it ran the 14.71@92.44.
these times were NOT with the skunk2 intake manifold. I have yet to run it with that on due to a bad 3rd gear synchro.
BTW, i was there to witness the 14.7s, he ran about 10 of them that day. Which is the main reason i bought the car.

Damn, some of you guys are running times in your GS-R's that are unheard of where I'm from. I wish I could run where you guys are, or you could run where I am...
dude tihs GSR is a freak no doubt. The track is about 600feet above sea level and isnt an NHRA approved track, mostly due to the lack of run down time which doesnt allow 7second or lower cars to run past the 1/8th mile, but you also CANNOT go around the waterbox , so its kinda sucky for street tired cars.

GetawayInMoscow,
Back when i had my 99 civic si I/H/E gutted catand Clutch I ran 14.7 @ 93.3 But when it was only Intake gutted cat and exhaust i ran 15.1 @ 90-91 So yes a header does make a big difference. Even though I ran 14.7 @ 93 i would still get pulled on 3rd gear - up against I/E integras w/ gutted cats when street racing. I did though however beat them by a 1/2 car 1st-2nd.

That's interesting. The thing is...it doesn't seem like the GSR hatches are really running much better than GSR Integras, which makes no sense.
