what does it sound like to you?
got in the car to come home and when i was accelerating on the on ramp the car just completly stopped accelerating and started popping really loudly... it also sounded like a 4 year old making airplane noises(i dont know how else to explain it
) i let off the gas and everything turns back to normal... i try to accelerate again and it does the same thing... i look in the rearview and see tons of white smoke coming from my car... it only does this sometimes... one minute it acts fine and the next its running like ****... usually idles fine but every now and then it will sound like a harley or something... i open up the oil filler cap and it smells like oil... doesnt smell like coolant... pull the dipstick out and the oil is almost like a dark brown milky color... im using Valvoline 5w-20 durablend... i think its the headgasket but the symptoms dont seem like it... what do you think? any input would be greatly appreciated... thanks a lot guys

well its ran fine all day today... im starting to think that i was just sucking up a little bit of water with my CAI since it was raining VERY heavy last night... but that doesnt explain the water in my oil... im thinking that i somehow got water or something in the oil when i was changing it... do you guys think the CAI could have caused those symptoms... it was only doing it when i was at WOT... gimme some of your thoughts

white smoke+milky oil = blown HG
there is a chance that it is not that bad yet so it only does it sometimes...change it as soon as possible before u damage ur motor...

i believe that it was water because it didnt smell like coolant at all... as far as the water in the coolant goes i just realized that when i changed my oil last the plug started leaking so i emptied out all the oil into a container i normally use and i forgot that i had just rinsed out the container and there was still some water in it... and i have to admit that i did our that oil back in without realizing what i was doing... well im going to go change my oil to make sure that that was my problem... thanks for the input and if anyone else has a suggestion feel free to comment

If your car sucked up that much water, it would have been hydrolocked.
Heres what you should do:
1. Replace your headgasket.
2. Drain the coolant and put in new coolant.
3. Get an Oil Change.

I think that your CAI did suck up a little water when you driving. Because if you drove it all ay today and it drove fine what else could it be if you arent have blown head gaskets sy

does it matter if the car is hot over cold, (long drive and hot vs. short drive when engine is cold) a head gasket can be worse at time depending on temp SOMETIMES, and the noise< poss pluged exhaust?(worse when full throttle) you cat can melt down easly when you are burning coolent..... good luck
