what do you guys think about bigger throttle bodies

everyone says they make your car louder

i have a cai catback exhaust and 421 dc header
will a throttle body help my setup or just make my car louder?

with proper tunning yes a tb will give you more numbers.

 

don't get it if you don't need it. I am about to order a 68mm tb since i've done everything else I could do with the intake and exhaust... only thing is... now i'm gonna need a new cai with larger piping to really get my money out of the tb.

 

what kinda of tb is that with a 68mm and where from thanks

 

I've got a credit @ NOPI that I need to use... they have a holley 68mm throttle body for just about $350 + shipping... can't get my money back from them so i figure this is the next best thing to do with it.

 

I have a JG Throttle body and I hate it. Ever since I put it on, my car idles all f*cked up.

No, a throttle body will not make your car louder.

 

I've seen dyno charts that showed a 5.9whp and 4 lbs of tq from a JG throttle body,seems to be a pretty good mod.
