im doin a b16 into a 96 civic and got a obd1 vtec harness so i have to get a obd2 harness correct? it cams with a jdm p30, ddo you i need to get a conversion thingy for the ecu?

It depends on which year motor it is. But yes, a '96 is OBD2.
