Question everyone, I have a High compression B16a Obd0 and it over heats at hard driving. What causes my head to get warped if i haven't raced or taken my car to redline at all??

 

well pretty much heat, caused by detonation i thought, if ur head is actually warped i'd get it resurfaced before u mess something up. hopefully ur block isn't warped.

 

im sure there are a bunch of things that can cause a head to warp....but i only know two things for sure
overtorquing ur head bolts..
torquing ur head bolts in the wrong sequence..
maybe in the past the HG was burned and was driven like that for a while causing the head to get warped...
people correct me if i am wrong

 

Overheating, torquing down in wrong sequence, inconsistent torque values for the headbolts are common causes.

 

yikes......if the motor is high compression, nothing less than 94 octane gas will do then?

If you know it overheats then i def. wouldnt be driving it hard unless you want to mess something up really bad.
