What oil filter fits better
I have a b16 is a 2000 coupe. I use the fram oil filter that the manual says to use. It fits fine, but its a bitch to get off. The axel and a metal bracket are in the way so i cant use the oil filter wrench to get it off. Does anyone know the model number for the fram filter that has the same diamiter(to fit a b16) but is longer and will clear the bracket, i think its the s2000 filter, so i can turn the wrench???

Honestly you shouldnt need one too bad. My oil filter doesnt leak righ tnow but I cant remove it with some good ol muscle. It is only supposed to be hand tightened. BUT I picked up a fram from walmart and the oil filter wrench can reach it. You can also get those aluminum ones that you attach a socket wrench to

Fram is oe smart guy, and im not trying to get into a oil filter discussion about what one is better, im just tryin to find the model # for the longer but same diamiter filter.

I thought Nippon made factory oil filters? But anyway you can get good ones from the hodna dealer, although im not sure the length of them since you want to use the wrench.

Don't be a girl and put some muscle into it hommie. Just may want to be cautious of how hot the car is prior to pulling it off.

the intermediate axle does kinda get in the way when changing the filter, but i've never had any issues with it. i usually used the fram double guard filter with the grip on the end. since i didnt have PS, i could reach the filter from the engine bay to loosen it. if it was too tight, i had no issues getting a band-style wrench around it. from under the car
the fram filters are larger than the new style oem filters if you're wondering...

I appreciate that dog, its not that i cant get it off, it would just be alot easier to actually be able to turn the wrench
