Default burning oil...but great compression...?

in the last week or 2 my d16a has started to puff. a bit at startup and remains puffing intermittantly while driving and while at idle. i did a compression test and all 4 cyl. are between 160 and 170...can anyone give me some insight on this issue and what to do about it?

maybe leaky piston rings? i have no clue, but my GSR engine is losing oil somewhere. No matter though, it's getting the "full-interanls manicure" this winter
but i am also curious

compression tests the valve seat, piston rings, and head gasket. If you are getting good numbers, then the rings are alright and the valves are seating correctly. If you are still leaking oil, its getting by the valve seals and into the cylinder when the valves open. They are very easy to change out.

Yeah they come with full set gasket kits i think, plus i heard when you buy a Jdm motor they come worn out usually considering they been sitting for a while and they dry up.
