Default New Leathers

So today I was orginally planning to have my new leathers. Blow work off and off to the shop to make sure they fit ok, nice easy day you know the kind? Then I get a phone call, well the factory have missed the ship date in Holland so we wont have them until Wednesday, hmmmm. Well I can do that. I give them a call.

'I am surprised you are so calm given the circumstances' he says.

I left my cell phone somewhere so I have no idea what he is on about, I soon find out that my leathers are not going to arrive tomorrow.

'Well you can't get anything next day from Holland'

Amazing that as I ship stuff all over the place and have overnighted from the UK to the US before. So I explained the fact that I wanted to them to race this weekend and it is the last (probably) race of the season, so if I dont have them then they may as well stay in Holland til next year! I offered to drive to Holland, it only takes 12 hrs, then they can pay my expenses.

'How about we ship them to the circuit'

Riiight. So in between races you want me to run around looking for a delivery, then break in a set of leathers in a race, howsabout I get TNT to pick them up on our account, they will be with me tomorrow.

'I'll get back to you'

And he did. They are driving them to the pick-up, then they will be here Thursday. Well that's the best guess. Looks like I'll be wearing them all day at work now

People *sigh*

Hahaha, sucks luke, you'll have them in short order though. be sure to show us your new skins whwen they come in. I am preparing to order mine, and I have been playing with the idea of going with natural leather, like this:

that color and texture of natural leather. Look like I am riding around naked But more than likely I will go with a black and use a family crest on the back
peace

For the road its a tough decision.

Your head says as bright as possible, but then if you do lots of miles you will be wanting something that is practical.

Mine should look pretty cool. 'If' they ever get here.

Dead. internal failure of some sort. I need to finish tearing it down to see what the hell happened. It sucks though, that much is certain.

That totally blows, hope everything works out, post pics when you get them. And at the risk of sounding like an ignorant American and me myself having a few British and Aussie friends, I love your slang.

The 2-stroke. RM125

Had to push that bitch a ways then some guy put it on his trailor for me and towed me back to my truck. I'm pretty bummed, I just hope it's nothing in the bottom end.

The reason I thought of gay bars is because DC's main gay club, aside from the Fireplace, is called Apex.

Because it's in the middle of a popular club/bar neighborhood, and I'm observant enough to notice something that's on the corner of two main streets in a major metropolitan area.

Luke, what color is this dead cow you're waiting on?

Hmmm so you have a queer eye then eh?

The leathers are black with some silver panels, then some chrome writing and some gold writing.

And they are not here, more to the point.

Bad news about that. So now I have a bare frame and a box full of parts. Took the jug off, not a damn thing wrong with the piston besides some slight wear. That will be replaced. Now the bad part is there is up and down play in the connecting rod. The big end bearing is toast. I have to split the case and replace the rod and bearing as well now. I'm not sure if I should just order a whole crank kit with the crank, rod and bearing or just a rod and bearing. Hell, I may end up ordering the stroker kit and gain some more HP while I'm at it. If I do that I'll probably be jetting the bike for the next month or so. I hate jetting.

Sorry I hijacked your thread Luke, I had to though, you're the only one here who cares about 2strokes.

Just ordered a new wiseco piston and new connecting rod kit. Now I'm just waiting for a call back from a guy at this shop that was reccomended to me to see if he can swap the rod out for me on Saturday. If that happens I will then go directly home to do the top end myself and put my bike back together. Then I will drive it up and down the road by my house breaking it in and pissing off my neighbors so I can ride again on Sunday.

Wish me luck, I really want to ride Sunday.
