Default something bad happened!!

alright i was driving home, in fifth gear on the highway, doin about 60 -65mph and all of a sudden the cars rpms just dropped, i tried to give it some gas and than it the rpms were fluctuating between 2 and 3k rpm. than the oil light came on and the CEL. i shut off the car and cruised to the side of the road. now the car wont start

any help would be appreciated

hmmm..Does anything happen at all when you turn the key? Does it try to crank over or anything?

im gonna take a wildguess and say fuel pump... is it cranking? or just dead? check to see if your getting spark

Have you checked the oil level? If the light came on while the engine was still running, it could be pretty bad.

If you hear the fuel pump kick on, but youre not getting spark, then you should suspect the ignitor inside the distributor. same thing happened to me, exactly like you described.

its cranking over, im pretty positive the fuel pump is turning on but the car is is a parking lot right now, i got to get it towed later.

and yes the oil light came on while i was driving

you should pull the CEL anyways. it will still show you what code was there. unless you reset the ecu.

any blown fuses? If you had the clutch in, the engine could have died, and you would get an oil light because the engine stopped turning (even if you were still moving). If the engine was still in gear and you had an oil light, that doesn't bode well. Good luck.

alright i got the car started for some reason it started, drove it home (like 10 mins away) without giving it alot of gas. then i tried driving it again it died out again

i cleaned out the wiring going to the oil sensor and redid it (cause it was a swap so i did some wiring for it) it was working well then it did it again while driving?

well to keep everyone updated, i took of the oil pan and found metal shavings, looks like from the bearings
