Head Rebuild = Trouble :S
Well all, I'm new here and new to the honda game.... hopefully you can help me out!
So, I bought a 1983 (1.8L) prelude for real cheap with 343000 kms on it so I knew it wouldn't last forever....turns out a month later the timing belt skipped and bent all the valves. Great. So I tear the head off and have it machined etc etc get a new belt and put it all back together. Now, it runs pretty nice and has lots of power but is burning oil BAD! I thought it might be just in the cylinders from it being open but I took it around the block a few times and no change. I called a mechanic friend and he thinks that the oil rings just can't handle the new found sealing combustion chambers and they are allowing oil to be drawn past them. I don't see how this could change it so drastically? Another mechanic said it could be the PCV malfunctioning and drawing oil into the intake. What do u all think? Any suggestions sorry about the long post and TIA!
*edit* Also, anyone know a good place to find a vaccuum diagram? I have a haynes but it doesn't seem to have it. *edit*

Seriously, I wouldn't recomend this if I didn't use it, but Lucas Oil Stabilizer. It stopped a bad smoke on startup I had in my small block chevy. Its cheep to try, and prolly won't work, but... it may make it tolerable or even fix it.
That is alot of miles.

yeah, you might need to rebuild the bottom end now. i'm guessing on a car from 1983, the rings are probably in bad shape.
