Default Interesting run in with the police today(kinda long)

donno if i got the right location but it involes me on my bike so ill tell it .Well i was heading home from work bout 6pm heading south on the highway next to a new maxima with had to be at least 22's on it. speed limit 60 i was right next to him at the middle of the car we were just crusin at 68(so said my speedo) well anyway came up this hill and there were 2 state patrol cars clocking people well they clocked us and when we passed them they both pulled out and flipped their lights on im like **** so the maxima pulls over then i do i was in front of him when we were stopped. both cops immediatley get out and almost speed walk to this maxima and i get off my bike and wait for them to get to me. 5 min later they are still talking to the guy in the maxima well one of the cops looks up at me and makes this weird gesture to me i had no idea what he was doing so he then walks up to me and is like what are you doing are you with him or something Im like no both of you were clocking our speed and we were both speeding( I know you shouldn't admit any guilt but honesty has gotten me out of a couple of tickets in the past) the second thing he told me was the dumbest thing I've ever heard come out of a human beings mouth. first he was like yea you were speeding but we don't pull over sport bikes because u people tend to run from us and second right now we have a bigger problem we suspect darkie's(the driver of the maxima was a black guy) car is stolen so we are gonna hassle him for a while... you know how it is with those people probably sells drugs and steal's stuff so you are free to go we will be here a while. Im like actually i don't know how it is I believe they call this racial profiling and its illegal i look at his name tag and say in fact officer Harrison Im in the right mind to report you to the city as well as the ACLU put my helmet back on and ride off. i can't believe a man who is supposed to uphold and respresent the law could be such an ignorant ****. If i didn't have to go pick up my woman i would have waited for the guy in the maxima and told him all what they said needless to say im wirting a letter tomorrow. **** the police

So you typed all that out simply to state "**** the police"? Half of it sounds made up anyways.

Why does the police officer's attitude surprise? Many officers have the same attitude that you described.

Just be glad you didn't get knicked for anything. And next time keep a tape recorder handy.

Wow, that is rediculous. I have seen my share of stupidity from people but to actually come out and say that to someone? He deserves to be reported for that.

if i were you i would stay out of the issue. you got a lucky break even after admitting guilt.
not always the smartest thing to mess with the police, could open up a can of worms.

Its great that you feel motivated to do something about asinine cops like that.

As for me I just would've been happy as F*CK and said lates cuz I thought everyone already knew that `bout the fuzz.

uuhhh.. so wut's new? Haven't you been watching cops for the past 15 years? Only black people steal cars and deal drugs

Some cops are ignorant but to tell you the truth (couple of my buddies are cops), they tend to turn that way because their "hunch" is usually right. It comes with experience and gets worse as they get older. Sad but true.

If we (anyone that's ever been a victim of ethnic profiling) could just turn that stereo type around by actually not doing illegal activities, sooner or later, things can change. Until we get our act together, this is never gonna end.

Very succint; I like it.

As for the rest of this, it's simple demographics. It's not generic racism if it's built on observable factors like, you know, 22 inch dubs, that are pretty commonly associated with not so proper activities. If it's legal, great, sorry for the inconvenience... if it's not, well, it worked, eh? Statistics of the matter dictate that it works more often than not.

You got out of a ticket, consider yourself lucky and move along. Probably be a smart idea to just mind you own business when it comes to the police and the other driver. Pissing off the police is a bad idea.

22's maybe associated with not so proper activity as u put it but its not like this was a $70+ benz, lexus, or bmw it was a simple maxima yes its nice but its by no means a high dollar car the drug dealers i knew rolled in high dollar cars like the forementioned.

I'm sorry, what?

Who, exactly, was proclaiming the incredible immorality of the entire concept of stereotyping at the begining of this thread? Because ^ that ^ certainly adhered to the rule.

As far as I'm concerned ANY car with 22 inch wheels is being driven by an idiot. What kind of attention are you gunning for with that image, anyways? Whoever does it knows full well what they're getting in to; tough ****. I'll say the same thing to anybody that modifies their car with a blind eye to the law... drive it around if you like, it's your pile, but don't bitch and whine when you get profiled and ticketed: you don't get laws changed by breaking them. I'm rolling around on my bike with open headers for a few days until I can get a replacement muffler in: if I get hassled I'll stand up and deal with it.

I don't mean to sound like a total ***. I'll complain about improper police activity as loud, if not louder than the next guy. That doesn't mean that I'll fly off the handle every time Big Brother flexes a muscle or two - before you curse the Boys in Blue you should make sure that what's happened isn't, you know, proper.
