Default need help with buffin!!!!

me and a friend just got done paintin my car 2 sundays ago. this past sunday we decided we would wetsand any orange peel etc... and buff it. so we wetsanded it with 2000 grit and buffed it with a variable speed buffer with 3m rubbin compound and then followed it up with 3m final glaze. after we were done, i noticed when the sun hit the car, i could still see the sand marks. it was def. smoother but i dont wanna see the sand marks in my new paint. what did i do wrong? should i get a more agressive rubbin compound or do they make something specific for darker vehicles(cypress green pearl)

heres some help i got from T I

"I would hit it with a buffer safe compound and a wool pad, then finish up with a fine polish on a finishing/polishing foam pad. Stick around 1500 rpm.

Any glaze will just hide and end up coming back. I suggest against that."

I have the same problem but with the polished lip on my wheels. I sanded the anodized paint off with 800 then 1000, then 1200 grit wetsand paper and i can still see the sanding marks...

what type of 3m compound are you using, perfect-it line? You need yo use more compound and go slow with the buffer, take your time. 3000 grit pads on a DA work great to remove 2000 marks and to reduce buffing time. The buffing/wheel marks need to be polished out, glaze will only hide it.
