Did your car have an anti-theft device? (i.e. club/alarm/etc) Was it a controlled lot or one of those huge student parking areas? Any witnesses?

Put a damn fuel cut off switch on your type R's!!!!
it's the easiest thing to do.
thieves have tried three times to steal my car (my insurance Co. loves me)
and everytime they have failed.
If you are not good at wiring, then open the fuse cover and look for the fuel pump fuse. I take the fuel pump fuse with me whenever I park the car.

 

Damn man, I'm very sorry about this. I can't even imagine how you must be feeling. And to think, I was "upset" about a new door ding earlier today, my stuff doesn't even compare... **** on people that steal or disrespect other people's property!

 

what school - put up flyers - reward (if leads to prosecution of those responsible) maybe someone saw something - I be the 1st to put up $100.00 (only if it leads to serious prosecution) ask around - particularly at the time you had classes (skip if you have too) maybe somebody leaving/coming saw something - FAWKING SUCKS man - I wish there was something I could do to just END THIS FAWKING BULLSHIT I am sorry man

Thanks for all of your support. I've learned a lot about my R in this forum and I'd like to thank all of you for providing me with so much info.

When everything is taken care of with insurance I don't think I'll be getting another R, it's just attracts too much negative attention that i could live without.

i have to start thinking about what car i'm going to get next, because i'm pretty sure that it's going to be a complete loss.
I'm thinking either a manual IS300, S2000, or WRX.

Please tell what anti-theft devices were on your car? So we know what doesn't work.

Custom anti-theft seems the way to go. Come up with your own ideas/combinations just like the guy above with the fuel pump idea.
