usdm itr tranny with 4.4 final drive = J4D
jdm itr tranny with 4.7 final drive = N3E
have no idea what a J4R is, maybe a 96 spec itr with 4.4?

my bad guys. there is a mark on the tranny that crosses the d and makes it look like an R. i cleaned it and it clearly says "J4D" so it could be an usdm itr or could it be a b16b tranny?
