which do i need to for the jdm oe front bumper for the 2000 integra, i have the big metal peice that is actually the "bumper" which would protect my radiator in case of a front end crash.. but the people up at the body shop told me i needed the metal peace that goes right up under the lights that supports the bumper.. so if yall dont mind, please let me know..

 

I think they mean the radiator support. You're gonna need a new one of those for the JDM bumper. Or they could be talking about the bumper support. The big metal brace across the front of the car.

 

you need a radiator support if you don't have one.

I think the bumper piece is the same for USDM as JDM, or at least when I ordered my kit it wasn't included in the parts.

 

i already have the jdm conversion on my car, i just bought the oe bumper, but someone told me i might need a peice that goes right under the lights to hold the bumper up better, so your saying it wont make a difference? cause i already have that big bulky steal peice that is the "actual bumper", that would protect me in case of a car crash, is that all that yall have too??

 

AFAIK I don't have any additional pieces.

 

i think he's talking about the bumper rebar.. the USDM one won't fit on a JDM front.. maybe a small civic one will?

when u buy a jdm integra front clip there is a metal bar that goes to help support the bumper. when u buy the jdm conversion off a shop brand new, the metal piece from what ive seen is not included or it wasnt included with my kit of my friend's. so i guess in the fron there is the radiator support, the reinforcement, and the" missing" metal bumper support. i need to get myself one of those metal things too.

 

well i just contacted VIS Racing.. and i bought it for 170$... might be a little high, but im a clean freak.. should be here in 2 weeks, i get my bumper painted the 12th.. so ill post some pictures up once its done.. thanks yall

your kit should come with a bumper support.....which is in this picture...its the white bar under the headlight. on the JDM integras....its very very thin. on US integras, the bumper support is huge...and it has a foam piece in front of it...

 

will the insurance company honor it since its so thin?

Well I guess it wouldn't hurt to spend the xtra $$ on it.. but most of the kits Ive seen installed dont have them.. and that bar is NOT 5mph compliant LOL

 

do they need to know that its a differnt bumpersuport? plus how many people out there take out there bumper supports? alot. i want to but i cant b\c my IC is connected to it
