Default Help me with a new suspension set up (crx)

Ive been riding around on Skunk2 coilovers with tokico blues for about 3 years, They never really impressed me and now they are getting worst. I also love my crx slammed and i understand a slammed car doesnt help, What spring/coilover/ full coilover would make my car ride a little nicer?

My suspesion so far
ST front and rear sway bar
Full Es suspension
all strut bars
lconn traction bar

ps i have to throw a wrench in the works, my crx is an 88 and they have similair rear lca to the itr, so i dont know if i have to get 89-91 or what?

Thanks for any insight/help

you can get some 89-91 LCA's if you want their easy to come by. but koni does make rear shocks for the lca's you have. Anyway for you get koni yellows and OTS rate GC coils. O and DONT SLAM YOUR CAR THEN BITCH ABOUT IT. Every one is going to tell you to get koni/GC so just get them. Lower your car 1.75 inches from stock measure from the hub on a stock car to get a base line. That lowering distance is the max sugested by CRXlee, you can search his post its in the acrhives somewhere.

would the omni power be a better choice for a slamed ride?

My point was that the Konis were the best choice.

YOUR CAR IS GOING TO RIDE LIKE ****!!! just get over it and save your money man. You might as well buy some dubs, i am guessing your rolling 18's but those arent gangsta enought for a real g playa like your self. CHROME!! make sure you get a real heavy system in the back with like 8 subs at least 15" so your *** end will bottom out and scrape. Get the darkest tint you can find to you the police will pull you over alot, make sure you leave the engine stock so your car is slow and only do mods like crome oil covers and a big fart can welded on a stock exhaust.
Also no camber kits and no alignment make sure the toe eats the **** out of your tires.

Ok man i am serious if your gonna spend 500 on some shocks run your car high enought that you dont bottom them out internally and destroy them. I also cant understand why you would want to spend so much money on a suspension if its not going to handle good regard less, by lowering it that far your going to lose travel and kill your roll center and you would probably be better off stock. You cant ask for some thing thats going to feel nice while slammed. You cant have that cake and eat it to.

We both know his roll center is going to drop way below ground. You know EPD i notice you like argueing with me. Lets just forget it and not jack this thread and take it some where it dosent need to go, we can start a new thread in ax/rr if you want to discuss the the RC vrs CG aspect of lowering.

I just don't share your sentiment that it would "kill it." Sure he's probably dropping the roll center faster than he's dropping cg, but he's going to be riding on bumpstops anyway, so it doesn't really make much of a difference, does it.

Sorry to jack your name-calling thread...huhu

Yea i think i am just going to stop posting in the suspension forum, all the good stuff is in AX/RR anyway. I am sick of people who want to ride low and not bottom out. Or have stiff springs with total comfort. People want poly bushings with no squeek, and want their tires to never wear even if they dont get any alignment.

You just have to weed through the silly stuff, there is actually a fair amount of good info posted here.

And seriously, why do you take it personally what someone wants to do with their money/cars. They don't owe you anything.
