Default Yucky ls/vtec 1/4 mile time!

Well i live in idaho so take elevation into consideration just a lil bit. But here is my fastest run. This was on 13" stock steelies(worst tires evar!, no traction)
60' 2.33
1/8 9.71
MPH 73.02
1/4 15.00
MPH 93.28

My setup is a 92 civic hb vx, full street trim with lots of clothes and **** in it.
B18B1 Block
B16(pr3) pistons
GSR head stock
Intake
Sunk2 intake mani
DC header
Full 2.5 exhaust
MSD ignition with stock 7mm wires( )
Slightly tuned on uberdata

what have u guys hit with a similar setup? cuz that is absolute ****^^! and it wasnt bad drving either other than 60 ft needs to come down

Your 60 foot is everything. If you pulled that down to a 1.8 you'd be into the bottom 14's.

i ran a 9.2 on the 1/8
and 13.6 on the 1/4 with almost the same setup, but the 1/4 was with a 50 shot...

What's the elevation? Cuz if you were at LACR in Palmdale...you'd be hitting similar times.

LOL. Not.

Not with a 93MPH trap speed that is. That trap is good for mid-high 14s at best.

That ET/trap is pretty slow/low for a car that light with that engine swap. Have you dynoed the car? I hope you are running at a prety high elevation. Thats the only reason other then a **** swap that I can think of for those suck perofrmance figures.

ls tranny is the only thing i could see that could kill the trap speed like that but honestly ive seen straight ls swaps in those cars (non-vtec) trap higher than that.

you defintaley have a problem somewhere along the line cuz you should be low 14s or even breaking thirteens but your trap speed is way low and you 60fts suck and like used2beab16 said about the lstranny possibility ive seen strait ls swapped hatches run in the mid to low 14s and trap higher than that

yea i know. i am running the ls tranny and when crossing the line im still in 3rd and no i havnt dynoed yet. and i dont know if u guys saw my other posts my car is running far from good. its needs a valve adjustment bad(which i hope helps). and needs a little finer tuning than what it has right now. my buddy with a turbod ls teg at 9 psi is trapping 98.xx is best at 14.4 so i dunno. and my buddy with mildly built ls swapped hatch with a gsr tranny ran 15.6 best time. so i dunno how the elevation is here compared to u guys but i do know that my car is not running right at all.

yea boise at firebird. i dont know what u r trying to say b18-r? he also was on street tires. his 60' at that time was a 2.3x. hes running about where he should i think and so do the big tuners here. and hes running stock exhaust and on a base map.

im saying I can run better then that guy with an NA motor. A teg running 9PSI should be a mid to low 13 second car at LEAST, but you are right that exhaust is killing him. Why didnt he unbolt it at the track? Thats kind of retarded, but whatever.

Oh and a 2.3 second 60' isnt that bad. It doesnt matter however, his trap speed is really low like yours.

My LS/VTEC:

B18A block
B16A pistons
PR3 head
2.25 inch exhaust
SRI
wideband 02 tuned

60' 2.129
330 5.774
1/8 8.760
MPH 83.64
1000 11.343
1/4 13.526
MPH 103.48

... is my best slip. It averages between 13.6-13.8

I should also mention that I'm on street tires.

see what im saying? a 9PSI snail on a B18 mill should put you in the low 13s with ease.
