Fun day at Sebring
Welp... ended up taking the R to Sebring for a Chin event. Got everything straightened out and finally got up there. Even though I didn't borrow the trailer from ya thanks DAVE_B!
The first session the brakes were horrible, massive fade and didn't like 17 or the hairpin for that matter... Let the car cool down and tried driving it the next session. I guess I didn't bed the pads in good enough but they became better and better each time I went out.
It was kinda funny yet pathetic at the same time...my car was like the Little Engine That Could and it was woopin up on most porsches and Bimmers out there heh
I guess having a N/A motor compared to a turbo is better for Sebring in some cases! I ended up coaching a few peeps up there and had a lot of fun.
Although, I had a lot of fun it still wasn't the same amount of fun you have in a race car. It kinda sucked how you have that little voice in your head that says it's still a street car. I ended up not pushing it to hard but it's definetly a totally different feeling compared to a race car where you know where the limit is and don't really have to worrry about your car getting messed up.
All in all I was very pleased with the performance of the car, the Teins were really put to the test at sebring, the car didn't really have a hole lot of understeer it felt pretty neutral. I was really shocked about how well the hard spring rates handled on bumpy sebring.
At the end of the day the Autozones were still kickin
unfortunetly a friend of mine with a camaro didn't experience that same as I did. He cracked 2 taiwanese rotors in 1 session, I don't know if they were Autozones but they were pretty messed up. He ended up yanking a PS belt and his power steering pump seized so he didn't have that great of a day.
Anyways, i'm going to try posting pics up later, whenever they are updated on the chin website you'll be the first to see.. Hope to see some of you S floridians at the next event. I might not be in the R but I'll be coaching or in some kinda race car

Here are a few pics of my car from the 28th. I actually won a cd with all the pics of my car from Colour Tech Photography for being the first one to sign up for the event, about 30 pics total.
[/QUOTE]- Why do passengers always feel like talking- haha
Just a joke.
Good to see you went to one of the Chin events. They are lots of fun due to lots of track time and tons of boys with big toys and not a lot of driving skill = fun for Hondas and Acuras!!!!

It was actually my 4th Chin Event, but the last one I attended was back in 2001. That pic was taken on the last cool down lap of the last session of the day, my passengers know not to talk while i'm concentrating

Awesome pics! I have done a few Chin events myself. I'm dying to get my Type-S out there and have some fun. I haven't done an event in several years.
Glad you had a good time.
