Difference between Apexi VAFC and Field SFC-VTEC controller?
In terms of VTEC controlling...the VAFC has VTEC in and VTEC out settings, where as the Field's only has a single VTEC switch over point (so VTEC in and VTEC out are set at the same point).
This is pretty handy feature. It helps you stay in VTEC while slowing down for a corner. I hate putting back into 1st when the car is moving at 4500 rpm and above in 2nd...but that's just me. More handy for AutoX as there are tighter turns.
I don't have a VAFC (but have played with them quite a bit), but if I did I'd put VTEC in at 5500 rpm and VTEC out at 4800 rpm (if that's possible).

On the SFC unit it was only like 8 or 10 points to adjust at. On the V-AFC yuo have 8 on the high cam and 8 on the low cam, so basically 16. You also have a partial throttle setting and a high throttle setting and you select where that dividing line is. Also there is a correction factor you can use but I never quite figured how to use that effectively.
