Default Bike dies out when I first start it

When I first start my bike it revs and it makes that sound like its almost about to stall out, then it does.
I was wondering what thats from, I have a bolt-on exhaust Rs-3 pipe.
I am still in break in period till 600 mi. i have 537 on it. I havent gotten on it, Ive just been cruising it. Anyone know what it could be. I know absolutley nothing about mechanics for a bike. But it sounds like their is too much air coming out the exhaust and its like the bike cant keep up with it, so it stalls out.

It does this every once in awhile, started 2 days ago. I would have to rev is to 3k for 2-3 seconds then let it go and it would be fine.

My rpm gauge needle jumped back and forth like a mad man between 1 and 2k rpms. Anyone have any ideas? thanks

You'd have to raise the idle. Normal part of breaking in period.

Yeah that's true. Mine does the same thing 04 gixx 600. Lift up gas tank and little circular *** on left side rotate it clock wise and bumper idle up to 1300-1400

this is when it really happened. yesterday. I left my bike out in the sun and it was like 95 here. Thats when I started it and right away it died on me. The idle does fluxuate back and forth.<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by jlacoy82 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

Are you using the lever on the left clipon that is for raising idle/choke?

I typically don't need to use it on my bike, but my roomate does on his bike.

Sounds like an easy fix, but maybe I'm not understanding it. Good luck

Ive never had that problem with my bike and I have the almost identical setup, maybe this is happening to you because you have 537 miles on your bike in one month (what i put on weekly) and you already think you can take a 1000 to the track, thats my guess.

Definitely read up on alot of Cali bikes having the same problem. Cali emissions are a lot stricter there fore they re did to the vacuum. Not sure where I read this on somewhere.
