The frontal view makes the bike look very wide. I'll make a decision whether I like it or not when I see it in person

I just don't get why they'd make a whole new bike for '06, after such an extensive re-working for '05.

changing forks and a tire is extensive? remember, the japs are on two year design cycles, with revisions every other year. This is the way it is. This is the way it has been. This is the way it will be.

this always happens right before the model is completely reworked. economies of scale make it an attractive idea befroe new tooling needs to be made etc.

I can't wait to see the other 06's...I was kind of hoping all the 600's would be undertail exhaust by 06 but what can ya do...

Funny how most would say that undertails look so much fresher but I like the side pipes. And the side pipe on this new R6 resembles the shorty coming out the side of the M1. But who cares, most people are just gonna bolt on an aftermarket pipe once they get the bike anyways.

High center of gravity sucks *** anyway!

I wonder if the R6 is going to have a big cat tucked under the motor like the buells do.

That would be a safe bet. Motorcycle companies have earned themselves a reputation for 'self-regulating' emissions, but in reality, they are just preparing for tighter emissions restrictions coming very soon. It hasn't been a secret, part of the EPA's long-term plan has been reduced motorcycle emissions.

It really does, it looks stupid, anyone have a decent explaination for making the stock fender even more un-godly?
