Any difference between the 88 and 89 tranny? I seem to remember that the tranny input shaft may have a different # of splines on it...?

Thanks,

Christian, who'd really like an LSD for his 89 CRX Si...

You could also change the clutch disc if the splines or what not is different.

Yeah the clutch disk from an 88 Prelude Si makes it work with 89-91's

Yes, the 88 spline count is different.
89-91 are the same.

Hmmm... that may work for someone else but I've already got 1 known good 89 tranny and then an unknown 89 tranny so I don't want to be in a position where I have to swap clutch discs at the track in the event of a tranny problem.

Thanks for the info

Christian

What a setup...I am not gonna touch that one.

Man, if I was not in limbo about my job situation at the moment (got bought out...plant is leaving town... ) I would get that transmission from you. I have a shiny new SRR final drive that would make it complete...Plus, I am all '88 and everything already.
