Default Dual Vtec?

I have searched high and low asked plenty of imprters and still to no avail have found the answer. So anyone who knows what dual vtec does and what the diference is please let me know becasue i am stumped. I have gathered that it engages vtec 2 but i already knew that but what kinda power would it make would it be faster than a regular vtec?

dual stage VTAK!?! I had some ricer kid mention the word, he thought 2x's the VTAK!@! was better than 1 lol, so I was curious and read up on it. BTW he was terribly retarded as you very well could be also. In the first "stage" it controls the number of intake valves that open and close, first 1 valve is used at lower revs then both get used after. Then the second "stage" is when it switches to a different cam profile. Longer lift and duration, like regular VTAK!!1111 pretty much. Unless your more concerned with fuel economy and *maybe* a little better low end power, it's pretty much a pointless to comparison to regular vtak. Bump for gayness.

btw you can't swap dual stage vtak onto a regular VTAK!(^$@#!@ car if your thinking of trying it.

If you read the url I gave you, the d15b has vtec-e which uses tripple stage vtec.

wrong you see there is a d15b sohc vtec and then there is a d15Z1 and that is the vtec-e. i have the d15z1 in my vx right now and it opens 12 valves until the vtec kicks in then it will open all 16 but the d15b is what comes in Si's , but yes there is a difference and its about 40 hp

no it's not regular VTEC. It the different VTEC, First vtec engagement switches to 2 intake valves used, then second vtec engagement changes cam profile.

I'd say get a d16z6, but you don't have to take my word. You make like the d15b I've actually never been in a car that has it. It has a LSD which is nice.
