Question is as stated...

I have their exhaust manifold and I hate it. It fits great but it cracks...I know I will get flamed for this but its ok-I will admit it is junk without all of you saying it for me. I bought it without research because it looked good-Oh the shame i feel!

Here is my problem: I have tried Rev-Hard and Blox cast manifolds and neither fit. I might be able to make the Blox work with a .500 or greater steel shim at the head and I am not sure the air cleaner will fit on the compressor inlet once that is done.

Here is what I would like to know: Did SS auto chrome copy some one to make this manifold? I seriously doubt they did the R&D to make this fit as well as it does. Who is the original manufacturor of this unit and can I still get one as I would buy one if it is still available. I am even considering making my own copy of it if it comes to that...A/C is a must in Texas and I will not run a car without an air filter. I am kind of dogmatic about these two points!

Has anyone else replaced theirs? What did you use? Did you keep A/C and were you able to use an air filter etc...Any thoughts would be appreciated. I am putting my flame suit on now!

they are just as bad as the ssautochrome units and obx units. no difference in quality. If you want a good manifold take your ssautochrome and get someone to make a copy of it using some quality welding and quality bends

HKS had that design of turbo manifold YEARS ago... thats who ssauto coppied. its nothing new; not a bad design; it just sucks that ssauto sucks and uses crap parts.

I agree, but werent you pushing Meng's manifolds back in the day hard? I seem to remember this for some reason.

I never knew HKS made manifolds for Hondas, I thought it was copied from Meng's too.
I know for Supras, they copy Greddy manifolds for the design

HKS started the manifold that had the two middle runners going to the front most part of the collector; or at least i'm VERY sure they did as I saw them in magazines WAY the **** back in the day; before all these honda-tech driven getrichoffthefuckingidiots shops sprouted. Back when you had to look on japanese-only sites to find parts for most cars because no one in america could have cared less at the time.

i think all in all ssauto chrome is probably getting the same thigns from meng in thailand through the us distributor in NY.

HKS has a cast manifold that looks a lot like the greddy one; hell it may be made with the same casting; i haven't looked at an hks up close.

but iirc the hks uses a T3 flange and the trust uses a T25 flange; and the runners in the hks manifold look like they have more volume than my pos greddy one did. i'd have to compare them.

but yea; moral of the story i'm 99% sure that hks was the first with that style qual length manifold as i'd see them in magazines in the mid 90s

Why did you even bring up Full-Race's name? Talk about bandwagons you are yet another member of the newest bandwagon on Honda-Tech, the Full-Race haters. I can understand if you had one of their manifolds crack on you or had a bad experience with them, but to come on here and bash a company for no reason and with no proof is ridiculous. It added nothing to this thread and neither did your foul language. Grow up and learn to express yourself without the use of the F-word, you would be surprised how much more intelligent you would sound. Right now you sound like yet another member of Hater-Tech.

was just about to say the same thing. Have fun wasting your time with your half-*** sohc build-up. I'll stick with my full-race setup on my car.
