Default check my 1/4 time

I'm currently running an eg8 w/ b16a sir2, itr im/tb, j's replica intake, mugen chipped p28 and only managed to run a 15.0 in a 1/4 w/ a 2.7 60ft.. I don't really know how to calculate my times to know what my end result would be with my times but it'll help if somebody could explain it to me. I think I did pretty good for what I have and for the first time being on the track itself. thanks.. I already searched...

R/T: .437
60: 2.707
330: 6.658
1/8: 9.900
MPH: 75.31
1000: 12.704
1/4: 15.077
MPH: 95.54

how much improvement and what numbers would I be looking at if I got my 60 down. I was also running against a friend's hatch who managed a 14.4 @ 98.01 mph w/ a 2.3 60ft.

As a general guideline, every .1 off the 60 is .15 off the ET. You can get that car fairly deep in the 14's just by cutting that 60 down to a 2.1-2.2.

good times but I know you will be much happier when you get those 60fts down. 2.7 is borderline smokeshow launches so try to launch lower or maybe get better tires.

Yea I was thinking about lowering the psi of my tires but for some odd reason I didn't, hopefully I can cut a 2.2 60, and as for drag radials.. maybe, might bring my car out to test and tune and see what happens. I'm going boosted but this setup is just the basics for me to get started on it so I just wanted to see what the outcome would be if I ran just my b16 w/ minor mods.

Not be an ***, but please work on the 2.7 60', just giving you a hard time but still 2.7, i don't even know how you could get it that slow. Try holding rpms at about 5000 and riding the clutch out on the launch with practice 2.3 60' will be easy and better will come along with time. but don't worry, that's at least a mid 14 second car.

Well don't fell to bad I onley managed a 15.05 my first time at the track with my 92hatch w/b16 turbo @7psi. My 60 foot times were about the same as you and my reaction times were 1.67. I was on 185/60/14 but i am still one of the slowest ever for my setup. But i just go some super light 15s and some 205/50/15 dunlop sp sport 9000s so i should be in the 14s next time.

I'm not givin u shiet or anything, just givin u somethin to measure up against to let u know what u could be runnin. I run a 15.0 in an EG with a b18 in it, only mods r jg 301 cams, dc header, and b16 tranny... you should have that setup beat... so you could be deep into 14s. I had some weak street slicks on an got some 2.3 60 foots... cut em down and you got your problem solved.

My setup is not even all that great, all I have is just itr im/tb, j's racing replica intake, mugen chipped p28, that's about it.. I ran no exhaust. Yea I was really dissapointed when my 60ft times were @ 2.7, but I'll work on it and hopefully get to run mid 14's w/ my eg8 before I go boosted in Nov. thanks to all that replied.

As others said, work on the 60'!! For a comparison, I got a 2.49 60' in a stock D15B7 4 Door with econo 175/70/13s Dunlops. I continued to run a 17.48 LOL. As someone else said, drop your 60' and you will get a much better time, your car has alot more in it. How are you launching?

hmm...My best time on the 1/4 mile on my crx was 15.00. I have a b16a y1 tranny, chipped ecu, cat back exhaust & shitty tires. I have no idea how the b16a sir2 is doin 15.00, I thought that they come with 170 hp as compared to the b16a sir which has 160 hp.

Well basically I was running stock exhaust and the last time I dyno'd was at 136whp/93.5tq without the itr manifold and throttle body, with, I'd expected as little as 4-5whp which would put me up there at the 140whp level, when I was at the track I ran with no back seats, no jack/spare, no filter, and no exhaust and I could definitely feel an improvement by just taking off my stock exhaust, it was holding me back, by calculating my mph trap times on some website, I should be right around 150whp, I also had a chance to line up against a friend who was runnin' a hatch w/ a b18c1 w/ ctr pistons and I/H/E tuned with crome, he came out to 173whp/130tq and he ran a 14.4 w/ a 2.4 60ft I believe, It was a good race and he didn't beat me by much and his trap time was jus 98.5mph.

btw, I was launching at 3000-3500rpms w/ kumho ecsta 411's full psi. Also for the b16a sir2 rated at 170hp/116tq it's because japanese daily drivers pump 95 octane daily and the p30 reads japan specifications which is different than the us.
