will car start with bent valves?
i had a huge 3-2 miss shift and my motor must of rev past 9k the car died after that and never started since, i want to do a compression test but i have forged internals and i know they need to get hot and expand so ho do i find out if my pistons are shot or just bent valves?
that's what i heard but when i try to start the car it just turns freely.it will not start for gold, what could cause the car to not start? i don't understand................
i going to borrow my friend compression tester today, what numberes should i look for on a h22 with 9:1 compression pistons, and would having forged pistons affect the readings since the car wont start to get the pistons to expand and seal?

Its not starting because you arent getting compression.. When the valves close they seal the cylinder, since your valves are bent they arent sealing the cylinder and arent allowing the engine to compress the air/fuel..

buddy of mine just money shifted.... went 107 in 2nd on his 3 series bmw. there wasnt one good part left in the entire motor. The local bmw dealership said all valves, cylinders, pistons, bearings, everything.
good luck

i just fixed a car like this the other day....he did the same exact thing.but all his int. valves looked like the letter L.....while we had the head off.we just put ferrea vlves in .....for as much nitrious we are spraying we would be dum not to.
his turned over freely also.look at it this way the head is gonna have to come off,so get started and let me know.also look and see if your timing is correct before you take it off.

Happen to a friend, his Fully built NA Gsr was destroyed! 12:1 Piston etc etc..
Compression read: 160- 60 - 30 - 0
Bent most of his valve, and pistons were either in peices or cracked. Yes, you know the results...
Hope nothing bad happen to your car though.

yes just to see if it has jump timing...most likely it has but could not have.just something i like to check...let me know how it goes.

well i just took the turbo and manifold off the car and i heard something rolling around in the manifold when i shook it out it was 6 small smoth looking rock like objestcs. also as i was looking in the exhaust ports all but 2 valves are closed the ones closest to the timming belt are wide open.
pull the head to see the damage if you seeing 0 compression across the board and metal pieces you can definitely find out that you did some major **** to your engine.
just pull it and most likely you gonna find the problem simple as that
