I was driving home tonight messing around. I was trying to see if i could get it to do the hesitation thing then try to fix it. but instead it felt 2 me that my vtec wasn't pulling as hard as it usually does. I kept hitting vtec from a 1st gear pull then a second gear pull. It wasn't hesitating but the vtec was acting weird. I dont know if it was just my imagination or what.

What could cause vtec to lose power?? maybe the ecu? or the fuel filter being old and maybe clogged, or maybe the brand 93 octain i put in the other day (race track, in Newport news)

any ideas post up.

 

prob. ur imagination, i tend to do that alot,ur just freakin out....it should b ok, just check the oil n your car....o yea n get that hesitation thing checked out

 

uhh... maybe you didnt push the pedal far enough...

well get that solenid valve (vtech) "presure controller" checked... because if the oil presure isnt high enufff the vtech or the valves wont open far enough for you to really feel the pull... therefore .. the solenoid (I think thats whats its called) valve might be bad ... rarely happens.. but possible. ( its located at the end of the second cam shaft... next door to the ddistributor.) see if dat helps.

spark plugs/wires
oil level
oil pressure
solenoid

thats it....
