yes you have to cut the rear impact bar, it's not too easy but a torch will come in real handy, and you'll either have to do away with the styro-foam padding or chop it as well, here's some pics of teh EDM fogs on my hatch, i paid $70.00 for them form a guy in sweden.

night pics.

during day.

Is it part of the bumper? or do you cut to install them?

you have to cut to install them, this is where a dremel comes in very handy, the first thing tht must be done is to cut the bumper to fit the housing in, once that is done you need to put the bumper back on the car and mark on the inside where you are going to cut the impact beam, i think i just chopped aobut 4 inch's off the side and was fine for clearing the housings.

as for the $70.00, it was great, i paid $50.00 for the entire kit, plus $20.00 shipping, which he ended up needing more to ship, which just came outta the $50.00, lol, so yeah i made out sweet on them, anybody notice my ghetto SIR rear spoiler, lol.
