Hey I have posted alot so alot of you might know I have a 1st gen B16 in my 93 coupe well I just replaced my distributor from a D-series vtec to a Del Sol Vtec obd1 well I had to adjust all my timing because somehow in the change I jumped like 10 teeth in timing on one of my cam gears well all thats fixed ok distirbutor on car finally started now when I take it for a drive it falls on its face around 2500 rpms but then picks up at about 3100 then it pulls very hard till the redlin at 7400 or so (stock p28 ecu) Is the ECU the problem alot of people told me it is and I need to get the correct ecu for my engine and just 45 min ago on my way home I hit Vtec and as soon as I pulled in my drive way I smelled a burning smell almost plastic burning smell but can someone please give me some knowledge / advice / help about the whole thing do I need to get an ECU? timing wrong? what someone please help

The question is..if I get the right ECU will my engine run like it should and not fall on its face at 2500 then pick back up at 3100 and these are mods on my engine Type R rods, pistons, type r cams, port and polished, boared throttle body, i/e/h and thats about it I know it should pull hard but it just falls on its face then picks up so would the right ecu for my engine make it run right instead of the stock p28 and is the p28 timing the engine for single cam?

Jesus man, YES you need the correct ECU. In your case there is not a stock one I would use. Get Hondata, Crome, whatever in the P28 and tune it or you are going to **** up your motor if you haven't already.
