Just bought used Comptech header and exhaust have ?
As per the title, I just bought comptech header and catback exhaust system which was used for 6 months. Now I
know these are stainless steel(header and exhaust) but I wanted to clean them up a bit. Is there a cleaning
solution or something so that I can clean the stainless a little. I'm aware that the header will be a different color
because of the heat, but I want to clean the header and catback as much as i can. Any suggs??? Also is there any
other things that I should do?? Thanks a lot guys for all your help!

Car wash soap or dish soap first...depending on how much grease there is.
Use Eagle One Chrome polish to brighten it up. make sure you buff it all off.
Apply a coat of wax if desired.

I have the same thing, except mine was 1 year old when I bought it. I use Mother's Chrome Polish in the the red bottle. It's not harsh so it won't scratch the surface. I use it on the whole exhaust. Although, I haven't tried anything on the header so you may want to call Comptech and ask what they recommend. I think someone told me steel wool would work but I haven't tried it on the header.
Good luck!

Ew....steel wool seems too loose gritted to do anything but scratch it all up. Soft brillo might work better.

Well.. I got a good deal on them. For the header and catback exhaust for $650 bucks. The guy was getting rid of his car, so he was selling the complete exhaust system.... So they are 6 months old, and I want to clean them up, so I'm trying to figure out what to use to clean them up. I've been told to use Mother's Polish?? Does anyone know???
